Saturday, June 15 – Re-Dedication of Winchester Cenotaph

On Saturday, June 15th, the Winchester Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is hosting a ceremony to commemorate the unveiling and re-dedication of the Winchester Community Cenotaph. June 7 marks the 75th Anniversary of D Day. June is a perfect time for the Legion to remember those who hit the beaches so long ago AND to recognize the Veterans from Afghanistan as well as peace missions from around the world with the addition of two wings to the Cenotaph.

The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. in front of Winchester District Memorial Hospital. After the 60-75 minute ceremony, you are invited to enjoy a BBQ and refreshments at the Winchester Public School. This will be followed by drinks and finger foods at the Legion.

St. Paul’s is a great supporter of our Veterans and the Legion extends to us this special invitation. Please RSVP by May 27 if you plan to attend. or 613-229-7848
