St. Paul’s is located in the heart of downtown Winchester, within walking distance of many local shops.

Rental Agreement Terms

  1. Booking & Payment
    • Groups considering using our facilities will need to provide in writing a brief description of the event including the purpose of the event, activities planned, possible numbers attending, specific requirements like PA system
    • Rental fees must be paid in full to confirm your booking unless other arrangements are made in advance
    • Payments can be made via cheque, cash, e-transfer to treasurer@presbyterian-winchester.ca
    • Cheques will be made payable to St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church
    • All booking payments will receive a receipt
  2. Cancellations
    • Cancellations made at least 7 days in advance will receive a full refund.
    • Cancellations within 7 days of the event may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
  3. Liability Requirements
    • For income generating activities, businesses or organizations using our facilities they must provide an up-to-date certificate of liability showing at least $2 million liability.  The certificate must add St Paul’s Presbyterian Church as an additional insured.  This certificate must be received at least five days prior to the rental.

FAQs

  1. On the day of our booking, will someone be there to open up the building?
    We will make sure the building is unlocked for your estimated time of arrival and come at the end to lock up. If there any changes to your access time, you will need to contact the email or phone number above. For regular renters, you will have your own access to be able to open and lock up as needed.
  2. Is the space accessible to people with reduced mobility?
    We do have a ramp into the building, large open doorways to enter the rooms and a large bathroom for increased mobility. We do not have a power operated door for the front door and bathroom, so assistance may be required for those in a wheelchair.
  3. Will you provide the Wifi login instructions?
    Yes, wifi instructions will be provided before your rental in your rental onboarding package.
  4. Is there free parking available on site?
    There is free street parking available right in front of the building. In addition there is a large parking lot across the street with additional spaces.
  5. How long do we get to use the space for our rental?
    The rental rate is a flat fee that include as much time as you need. You may only need the space for a few hours or the entire day. When booking, let us know how long you will need the space for and will schedule you for that time if it’s available. Please note, there may be another booking before or after so the time you set for your booking is important. You will be expected to start and finish at the time you set for your reservation.
  6. Will there be anyone else in the same space on the same day as our booking?
    We only book one event at a time in each space. On Wednesday evenings, choir has practice in the Sanctuary so they may be in the front area during a hall/meeting room rental, but there is a wall to prevent substantial sound travel. Also, you may have the church member that needs to grab something or the pastor that is working in his office at the front of the church.
  7. Do you have access to tables and chairs for setup of our event?
    Yes, we have tables and chairs available in the meeting room/hall rental area that you can easily setup to how you would like your space configured.
